Ok, so I’ve been wrestling with our theme for days now. I’ve been asking everyone and anyone I know what they think of when they hear “living the dream” to get inspired.
And some very interesting dialogues have ensued… a general feeling of confusion is evident. People seem to not relate to “the dream” but have their own defintion.
SO.
My project is this- to record these conversations and thoughts and edit them into a sound installation piece. I’m thinking of grouping the thoughts into general categories to form a cognitive plot line… I hope to display it on an ipiod in the gallery but I think that safety/theft might be a problem?
Let me know your thoughts. I’ve started already but feedback is very welcome.
I like where this is heading, but I also worry about theft. Keep brainstorming.
